Sikaru is a completely artisanal and 100% natural beer produced by the Fundació Badalona Capaç. This initiative aims to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities by involving them in various occupational projects.
The beer is named after the ancient Mesopotamian term for “liquid bread” and is crafted using high-quality ingredients, including barley malts, hops, and yeast. Three types of beer are produced, named Girsu, Larak, and Uruk, after ancient cities.
The labeling, distribution, and merchandising are handled by individuals with intellectual disabilities, highlighting the project’s commitment to inclusivity and community engagement.
